What
is my registration number? |
![](images/6.jpg) ![](images/tablefill.gif)
Your registration number indicates
the order in which you’ll register on your 1st day of camp. The
lower the number, the sooner you’ll register. You’ll receive
this number via email from the Registrar once your application
is processed. The registration order will also be posted on the
mess hall during registration. |

Am
I to pay the $295 in addition to the $75 deposit? |
![](images/8.jpg) ![](images/tablefill.gif)
No. The cost to attend camp is $295
per week ($265 if you’re paid in full by May 1st). A $75 deposit is required to process your
application and receive a registration number. The balance of
the camper fee is due on Registration day (or by May 1st if you
wish to receive the $30 discount). |

My child will be
staying for 2 weeks.
Do I need a registration number for the 2nd week that my child
is going to be at camp? |
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
No. You only go through the
registration process once (on your child’s first day). When your
child’s second week starts, he/she will already be registered in
camp. Your child will remain in the same cabin for the 2nd week. |
|

Does my child need any
money? |
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
No. The camper fee provides
everything you need for camp (including a WaMaVa T-shirt &
canteen privileges). There is nothing for your child to purchase
during the week. |

Can
he/she bunk with his/her friend? |
![](images/2.jpg) ![](images/tablefill.gif)
Camp WaMaVa cannot guarantee
cabin/bunk assignments. Cabin assignments are chosen by the
campers in the order they’re registered. It’s the only way to
make it fair to everyone. Your friend’s cabin may be full before
your registration number is called. We encourage you and your
friends to register early in order to bunk together in the cabin
of your choice. Even so, a camper can bunk with one other
friend if he/she didn't register early, but there may be
limited cabin choices to accommodate this. |
|
Can he be with the
same counselor that he had last year? |
![](images/5.jpg) ![](images/tablefill.gif)
Even if your previous counselor is
returning this summer…again, we cannot guarantee cabin
assignments. Register early. |

Is
there a Bible my child can use? Does it matter what version? |
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
We encourage your child to bring a
Bible in a version he/she can understand. We have extra Bibles
at camp if your child needs one. |

How can my child
get in touch with me? |
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
In case of emergency, we will
contact you by the phone number provided on the application.
Otherwise, your child can contact you via mailed letters. Please
provide your child with stationery and stamps if he/she would
like to write home. |
|
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
If my child
is camping consecutive weeks, do I need to pick up him/her
the Saturday of the first week and then return the next day? |
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
Yes. All two-week campers must go home
Saturday (pickup between 9-11am) and return Sunday (between
2-4pm) for their second week. You will not need to register
again for the 2nd week. |
|

What if my child doesn't like the meals being served? |
![](images/11.jpg) ![](images/tablefill.gif)
We
offer at least 3-4 dishes at every meal. There is always a
fruit and/or vegetable offered. If a camper does not care
for any given meal, Cheerios are available at breakfast and
PB&J is available at lunch/dinner. This is neither too
prevalent that you should worry about your child eating PB&J
all week, nor is it too rare that your child would feel out
of place for requesting the alternative. We keep our menu
kid-friendly. |
|
My child has special dietary
needs, how will that be handled at camp? |
![](images/tablefill.gif) |
We
are limited in our ability to accommodate special dietary
needs. We cannot prepare specialized meals given our kitchen
and staffing constraints. We have a refrigerator/freezer,
microwave, and shelving area in the Mess Hall that are
available to campers. If your child has special dietary
needs, you may send alternative food items as long as they
fit on the shelves or in the fridge. They must either be
ready-to-eat out of the box or able to be cooked in a
microwave. Campers must be able to prepare the items
themselves. If you have any questions about the menu or
further requests for your child's food needs, please see the
director on Registration Day. |
